| Sumario: | This work presents a short overview about Brazilian cultural interpenetration translated word for word to Eng-lish. Therefore, this work analyses the social media profile @greengodictionary on Instagram in order to examine the cultural exchange and the manner how the colloquial expression in Portuguese is translated to English. In other words, what kind of considerations are taken to translate those expressions and what method is taken in con-sideration. In addition, this work researches the power and the cultural impact that Portuguese has on Internet and in English speaking places. Even if the Instagram profile intention is the comicalness, it is asked if would be possi-ble to translate those expressions into English, and if would be possible a cultural exchange in those translations. |
