Sumario: | The Qur'an and hadith/sunnah are the two main sources of Islam and they have a close connection from many perspectives. In this context, it is clear that the hadith is used for in understanding the Quran and it is benefited from the Quran for the determining the origin of the hadiths. Contrary to its common usage in this study, the role of the Quran/verses in understanding and interpreting hadiths has been emphasized. On this occasion, it is aimed to both the reviving mentioned method and to contribute a little to the correct understanding of the hadiths. Thus, there are many examples of this method in classical hadith sources no less. After some hadith texts, it is seen that the Prophet or the transmitter associated the hadith text with a verse in two different ways. The first form of these, it is said that “The meaning/criterion of this hadith is the following word of God” after it is transmitted hadith text. Then they are estahlished link of meaning between the hadith and a verse by pointing out it. The second form is the verses that it is read after the hadith. In both cases, it is a connection is established between the hadith and the verse and the Quran determines the meaning area of the hadith text. Although it is obvious that this method will contribute to the correct understanding of the hadith and fixation of the raised hadith meaning, it should be emphasized that it is not the only principle and will yield better results when used together with other methods. |
