The main purpose of study is to reveal the focal points of the opposition parties’ system criticisms or discourses that support the system with comparative analysis. For this purpose, the study examines the discourses/manifestations of the selected opposition parties from 2010 that system of government discussions has been became political agenda. It can be stated that while RPP, IYI Party, Felicity Party, PDP, WPT and Democrat Party criticized the effectuated government system in certain aspects, NAP and GUP did not opposite the new system significantly as a results of study. While parties’ criticism mostly concentrated on partial president, violation of separation of power and compliance problem of new system to Turkey, eliminating the deadlocks in the decision-making processes and stable government have been the main reasons for the parties supporting the new system. It should be noted that criticism of opposition parties are similar to main discourses.Umut Turgut YILDIRIMFırat Universityarticlegovernment systemsgovernment system discussionspresidential government systemturkish political lifeopposition partiesSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 13, Iss 79, Pp 509-524 (2020) |
