| Sumario: | The great experience of cultivation, favorable environmental conditions, adaptability of hybrids and the safety of obtaining the produce in the most diffi cult years are the basic factors which make possible the cultivation of corn in Republic of Moldova. Our country has a great assortment of autochthonous hybrids which continue to be requested by agricultural producers. In the article is represented the system of creation and implementation of maize hybrids which was developed during 40 years of activity of our Institute. The right implementation of this system, which consists of collaborating with all Institute's laboratories from maize breeding domain, was confi rmed by the cultivation surfaces occupied by „Porumbeni” hybrids during the entire period of Institute's activity. „Porumbeni” hybrids were also awarded with different medals and diplomas at International Exhibitions. |
