Sumario:In order to compare the recruitment and selection policies in expatriation programs of Brazilian companies, considering the number of expatriate professionals. This research aimed on studying the theories related to the topic, international human resource management, as well as delving into the policies and practices of Brazilian companies with expatriation programs. For this, a descriptive research was made from a cross-sectional study about population characteristics, which allowed a qualitative analysis through content analysis technique. Thus, the population of this research was limited to Brazilian Transnational Rankings - 2011 and 2012 - up from “Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC” research. Of the 52 companies that make up the rank in question, 25 companies participated in the survey which took place on-site interview format. The information gathered were worked with the help of qualitative analysis software - Atlas TI - and considerations about the results show that Brazilian companies besides their recruitment and selection policies in their expatriation programs, also are in different moments of implementation of these policies.
