EFFECT OF EMBLICA OFFICINALIS ON PLASMA CHOLESTEROL AND TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS IN RABBITS
The aqueous extract and pulp of E officinalis tested for their lipid lowering effects in hyperlipidaemic rabbits, proved to have a satisfactorily beneficial role in the treatment of hyperlipidaema . Gemfibrozil produced an effect more or less similar to that of E. officinalis.
