Sumario:Review of the literature on organizational change in the field of educational administration showed that considering the concepts of adaptation to organizational changes and human capital and their reciprocal interaction throughout change process in universities is a significant prerequisite for making universities more effective. Because of this thought the purpose of this research is to the adaptation to organizational changes of academicians working in the field of sports science gender, age and years of work (seniority) to be examined according to the variables. For this purpose, 163 academicians (60 female and 103 male), working in universities in Turkey were applied a questionnaire. In this research, Kearney and Smith’s “Faculty Change Orientation Scale” developed in 2008 and adapted into Turkish by Omur and Nartgun in 2014 along with developed by researchers "personal information form" was used. In the analysis of the obtained data; frequency and percentage analysis to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, for two independent groups t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied to evaluate the adaptation to organizational changes of academicians according to different variables.
