The activities, completed in that period, were the key point for development of that region. In Timurid period, after the devastating influx of Mongols, new ditches and dams had been built in order to recover the death or fallowed land and to enlarge the agricultural area in Horasan, and thus agricultural production was increased. Exporting also improved significantly through the progress of agriculture in this period. Timurids who believed that commerce was the best source of income, improved commercial relations with various countries thanks to policy of supporting of the traders.
