These studies that survived until today are numbered from Folder 1 to Folder 34 and kept after being classified as 330 files by archive keepers of General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums. Amongst the earliest there were thesis written in 1936 and the recent and the only thesis was written in 1985. When the subjects of these 330 theses were examined, it is seen that they were written according to original topics on many important fields such as ethnology, linguistics, geography, history, archaeology, excavation, restoration, art history, history of architecture, etc. As a result of the literature research, it is seen that these studies were started to be written in accordance with the “Law on Organization of Museums and Observatories” number 2530 passed at Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 23.06.1934. This issue shows those promotion theses were written not only to be promoted but also to emphasize museology in culture policy of the country. Furthermore, when the content and construct of these promotion theses are taken into consideration, it is seen that these studies consisting of critical documents each are published. The case that Museologists have different occupations makes the studies more interesting.
