Spin-orbital coupling and slow phonon effects enabled persistent photoluminescence in organic crystal under isomer doping

Understanding the underlying spin- and photo-physics of ultralong-lived light emission in organic materials remains a significant challenge. Here, the authors report spin-orbital coupling and slow phonon effects in light-emitting organic molecules and elucidate their underlying physics.
