Índices de extremos de temperatura do ar na Amazônia brasileira

This paper aims to verify if there are changes in the trends of detection rates of climatic changes derived from the air temperature in 54 conventional meteorological stations (EMC’s) in the Brazilian Amazon. Employed databases from the daily series of maximum and minimum air temperature, with minim...

Employed databases from the daily series of maximum and minimum air temperature, with minimum durations of 30 years. The Rclimdex 1.9.0 software was used in the processing and quality control of 16 statistical indexes, adopting a significance level of 10% (p <0.10). The results obtained indicate a significant warming in recent years in the Brazilian Amazon, with an increase in the percentage of hot days (maximum temperatures above 25 °C) and warm nights (minimum temperatures above 20 °C), reduction of cold waves (colds) and reduction of the daily thermal amplitude (with greater influence of the increase of the minimum temperatures when compared with the maximum). The biggest changes are observed in the transition regions with the Amazon biome, mainly with the Pantanal and Cerrado, allowing the association of the occurrence of these processes with the anomalies in the EPA (Equatorial Pacific and Atlantic) and with the human activities developed in these transition regions.Wisnel JosephAdilson Pacheco de SouzaMarlus SabinoConfinsarticleClimate changeAir temperature anomaliesConventional weather stationRclimdexGeography.
