Sumario: | This essay presents a synthesis of a broader ongoing research related to Venezuelan and American texts related directly to Venezuelan civil-military relations, as from 1960’s onwards. It is intended to identify different approaches in those writings; since the initially clandestineDe Militares Para Militares (“From and to Militaries”,circa1963-1964, written by Mayor Manuel Asuaje, Capitan Americo Serriatelo and Navy junior officers Antonio Picardo and Pausides Gonzlez) and in the USA, Winfield Burggraaff’s PhD., History Dissertation “Civil-Military Relations in Venezuela, 1939-1945” (New Mexico, 1967); the texts that follow this two publications, with different and contrasting analysis will be briefly comment. |
