Sumario:The present study aimed to analyze the Brazilian scientific production on Chagas disease from publications indexed in the Web of Science database. Data from 1,008 articles published between 2006 and 2020 were collected and analyzed. The interpretation of the data allowed the identification of an expressive growth of Brazilian scientific production on Chagas disease and comprehensiveness of the theme in international journals. However, there is a focus on the biomedical areas of knowledge with emphasis on Parasitology and a small number of investigations directed to the areas of Public Health, Social Sciences and Pharmaceuticals. The bibliometry revealed the gaps that still exist in the national production and the need to strengthen policies directed to research edicts in the country.
