However, because of the teacher shortage in the field of visual arts or of different reasons, the Council of Higher Education paved the way for giving pedagogical formation education for its students who are in the second and third year of study and who are graduate. Thus, the students or graduates of the Faculty of Fine Arts obtained an opportunity to be a teacher candidate by having pedagogical formation training. In this study, it is aimed to reveal opinions of teacher candidates of visual arts attending the program of pedagogical formation training towards the art education and visual arts teaching as a profession. Working group of qualitative research consists of thirty-nine teacher candidates who are receiving pedagogical formation training. Interview form consisting of open-ended questions was used as a data collection tool. Opinions of teacher candidate related to art and pedagogical formation training and related to teaching as a profession has been suggested. Accordingly, it is specified that education of arts area in the faculty of fine arts was provided qualitatively and educated expert staff for the art area. It is also specified that the faculty of education provides the education for art area as well as training teacher. Even a little, there are teacher candidates stating that their opinions that they received pedagogical formation just for certification as well as those mentioning that the pedagogical formation training is important and necessary.
