Sumario:This paper explains how the circulation of mural representations between Northern Ireland and the Basque Country is happening ; it examines their evolution in the transnational context of political and historical connections between both countries. The transnational connections that have been elaborated through mural paintings, and their analysis within a broader political context make it possible to explain their political functions. Such circulations contribute to the dynamics of political conflicts because they re-invent history and narratives of national identities in a transnational framework. The themes, symbols or images that have been staged in the murals travel in a transnational space, and nurture different contexts with converging references.
