Sumario:Seen as the last book of the mixed-race chronicler Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxochitl, and his most achieved work, the History of Chichimec [Nation] has an ambiguous title. But the concept of nation is present in it, although not very extensive. And if the concept of chichimec nation is not prevailing, the author built nevertheless a fiction of national prehispanic history centered around chichimecayotl, empire and nahuatl language.
