Indagini diagnostiche non invasive e manutenzione programmata. Analisi di un caso di studio: la torre del Monte di Scauri

It is a complex strategy, that combines large-scale risk mitigation with careful organisation of daily activities. Implementing it means creating a new scenario. It represents the ability to see cultural heritage through time and govern its transformations, planning interventions for the conservation of monuments, preserving them with minimal and noninvasive operations. The practices of programmed conservation are, therefore, strategic to preserve the architectural heritage and ensure its perpetuation in a perspective of compatibility. A correct proposal for conservation of the structure must therefore start from a scheduled maintenance plan that identifies places, techniques, methods of control and interventions over time, specifying the maintenance cycles and their frequency, optimizing commitments and costs. The present paper proposes a significant case study: the analysis of the restoration works of the Monte di Scauri tower twelve years after the end of the intervention, according to the planned maintenance plan foreseen in the executive project. This analysis was carried out by applying thermography and gave useful results for the identification of problems and the configuration of interventions.
