Sumario:The purpose of this research is to determine the views of candidate teachers on the use of cues in the learning and teaching process. Descriptive scanning method was used in the study. The study group of the research is composed of 319 candidate teachers participating in pedagogical formation training at Çankırı Karatekin University. In order to collect the data of the study, two parts data collection tool was developed. In the analysis of the data, Mann Whitney-U Test and Kruskal Wallis-H test were used together with descriptive statistics. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the candidate teachers are aware importance of cues used in the teaching process, they are more importance the types of visual cues, they are effective on what to teach the cues and they participate in the functions of the cues to a great extent. Teacher candidates' opinions about the types of clue used in the teaching process do not show any significant difference according to the sex and the sections. Items for which the clues are effective show a meaningful difference according to the sex but do not make a meaningful difference compared to the section. The criteria to be considered when giving the clues and the views of the functions of the clues differ significantly from the gender and the section.
