Sumario:The detailed knowledge of biological and genetic (cytogenesis) peculiarities, as well as the presence of a high-level competition, requires the implementation and the maintenance in the improvement programs the following objectives: the productivity, the quality, early growth, the ecological plasticity, the resistance to diseases and pests. The characteristics of tomato population from the tomato collection designed for the open fi eld after the physiological attributes.
