Sumario:The aim of this research is to examine the value of the Turkish Language and Literature Teaching Program of 2018, and the place of values in the program and textbooks. Research is a qualitative study in the screening model. The data related to the survey was collected by means of a document review. In this context, the new Turkish Language and Literature Program and the 9th and 10th grade Turkish Language and Literature textbooks related to this program were examined. The texts in the textbooks were handled without any kind of discrimination. Determination of the values of the textbooks examined was carried out with the value examination form consisting of the values included in the curriculum of Turkish Language and Literature in 2018. These values are justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism and charity. In the data obtained, it was determined that the most emphasized values in the books are love, responsibility and patriotism respectively. The least emphasized values are justice and patience. Other values which are not included in the value review form; but found in the texts are Atatürk, peace and tolerance. Conclusions and evaluations were made in the direction of the findings obtained in the study and suggestions were presented.
