Sumario:Aggregate demand of maritime transportation is on the rise in globalizing world. That disseminates the activities of vessels such as construction, maintenance and repair. Vessels are affected by technical and technological improvements because they are the most economical transport of international trade in goods. Changing production concept and improving technology in shipbuilding industry considering occupational health and safety, managers require to do applications towards improving safety culture in their companies. In this paper, it is aimed to scrutinize the relationship between occupational health and safety behavior of the employees and employee performance, in the context of organizational safety climate applications in shipbuilding enterprises that they have been operating in the shipyards in the vicinity of Marmara Region. In the study, it is conducted survey to employees working at the Shipyard Businesses of Yalova-Altınova Shipyards Region and findings are evaluated.
