Sumario:Individuals who are active in terms of social relations in social life and who have a wide circle of friends; they are more happy than asocial people because they can spend their days more active and fun and motivate themselves with different activities. At this point, social media has begun to become one of the important elements of our life; It is a vehicle that enables individuals to socialize, have fun, communicate with people, express themselves, get lonely, have different activities, and be happy after all. Here is the research; Aims to reveal the relationship between social media usage habits and happiness levels of students who continue their education at Selçuk University. In the field survey method, data were collected from 452 students by face to face interviewing questionnaire. Research findings; like the university students, indicate that the younger segment of society uses social media intensively. University students spend about 42 minutes in a session against social media. Most university students responding to research questions say they use regular social media every day. About 84 percent of participants also use social media for a period of five years or more. Most of the researchers prefer mobile phone as a means of connecting to social networks. As a result of the research, there was a positive relationship between the level of social media usage and the level of happiness. There is also a positive relationship between social media usage and happiness level.
