Sumario: | Although the book industry is a subject of research in both France and Germany, research on it rarely crosses the Rhine. This article proposes a Franco-German approach to the study of current changes in this industry. Two perspectives are adopted here: that of the information and communication sciences (SIC), and in particular that of the theory of cultural industries, and that of Buchwissenschaft, a German discipline entirely devoted to books. The two approaches are presented in this article, which comes to the conclusion that they complement each other and that their use is relevant in the context of works on the mutations of the book industry. |
