Sumario: | Lagynoi with a funnel shaped mouth and a twisted handle are commonly found in in Cyprus. They come in a standard type (with a squat version), as well as in at least two variants. Their contexts and distribution suggest that the former were manufactured in southeastern Cyprus, between c. the middle of the 2nd century and the middle of the 1st century BC, whereas the two variants were probably manufactured in the central, southern and northern parts of the island. These vessels further our understanding of the regional distribution patterns of pottery (and by implication perhaps other goods as well) in Hellenistic Cyprus.
