The structures built in the city are important with wall paintings and ornaments rather than their architectural and functional properties. Bekârlar Camii in the city center is only one of the pieces of architecture having such property. The mosque which was constructed in early XVIII. Century has a different importance in terms of the baroque ornaments on the walls and the wall paintings made between them. The wall paintings which were made on interior and exterior wall surfaces of the mosque by fresco technique generally lay within medallions, panels, springers and frames. The subjects of the wall paintings were generally still life, scenery and city portraits. While wall paintings have a public art effect special to Albany in terms of subject, style and technique, in terms of subjects, presentation and approach style they reflect the Ottoman era properties. Today, although it is within the borders of another country, it is very important in terms of detection and examination of wall paintings made during Ottoman era which are important indicators of the Turkish art. In this article, the aim is to examine the wall paintings on the surface of interior and exterior walls of Bekarlar mosque constructed in Berat city of Albania during Ottoman rule. The wall paintings detected in this scope, will be classified according to their locations and will be described according to their content. Besides the style properties and the effects of the era will be examined and analysis will be made in terms of technique and arrangement.
