Sumario:We define the “term” as exceptional words having limited meanings and covering the concepts of branches of sciences, the arts and professions. And we separate it from basic words. Our terms have been based to oriental words and suffix and prefix until 1930. During the Republican era, rapid and radical steps have been taken about using original Turkish terms instead of those based to foreign languages. It can be explained that a high level of expression of teaching and investigating of Turkish language is not so complicated owing to the terms being clear and concise. Accordingly, the terms of a branch of science are considered as grounded base. Attribution of many meanings to a scientific concept hinders scientific development and also makes the agreement difficult. It is a fact that there have been many problems to be solved although we have currently taken a serious distance in the field of Turkology in higher education. One of problems to be solved is the term problems. In this study we will investigate the terms used in Turcology framework in higher education. We will find the differences by comparing the grammar terms of many grammar books accepted by academicians. We focus on the problems of these differences in student and educational process. The aim of this study is to explore the naming process of Turcology terms by a case study instead of producing terms, presenting terms, and evaluating of terms as wrong or right. This study has a qualitative nature. It is aimed in this study to arrive a consensus on the terms that we encountered in grammar field in higher education and to support the studies of uniting on some bases. For this, non-corelational survey method was adodted within descriptive research. The aim of this design is to reveal the current profil of the case.
