Being designed as a qualitative research model, what kind of factors basically effected the teachers’ preferences for this profession has been inquired within the framework of their socio-cultural, socio-economic, and demographic characteristics. A total of 12 primary school teachers (6 females and 6 males) in 3 State schools in Bornova- Izmir participated in this study. The data were gathered by the semi-structured technique.
