The ORTF has transmitted reports that had recorded the changes in this South American country and the right’s reactions against Salvador Allende. After the 11th September 1973, the television in France has denounced the military repression. The images of Pablo Neruda’s funeral, for example, have shown to the world a political project blocked by using force. This attention to the Popular Unity and its fall have occurred parallel to the importance given by the French policy to the Chilean experience, according to some allusions made in the TV by the politicians at that time.
