This research is a descriptive type with a qualitative approach. The data in this study are in the form of derivati</span><span lang="EN-US">on</span><span> prefixes that form nouns. The data</span><span lang="EN-US"> collection</span><span> technique </span><span lang="EN-US">uses</span><span> the observ</span><span lang="EN-US">ing</span><span> method and</span><span>note-taking technique, the observing method is used to review books </span><span lang="EN-US">and</span><span> news texts carefully, while the note-taking technique is used to </span><span lang="EN-US">write</span><span> in derivative prefixes</span><span lang="EN-US"> to form nouns</span><span> found in books and news texts. Furthermore, the data analysis technique was carried out by using the split method </span><span lang="EN-US">and</span><span> technique for direct elements. After</span><span lang="EN-US"> being</span><span> analy</span><span lang="EN-US">zed</span><span> based on the affix affixing process, the next </span><span lang="EN-US">process </span><span>will be analy</span><span lang="EN-US">zed</span><span> the</span><span lang="EN-US"> class</span><span> change </span><span lang="EN-US">process</span><span>. The conclusion of this research is that there are four derivati</span><span lang="EN-US">ve</span><span> prefixes t</span><span lang="EN-US">o</span><span> form nouns in Indonesian, namely the prefix {ke-}, {pe-}, {per-}, and {se-}. These derivati</span><span lang="EN-US">ve</span><span>prefixes function to form nouns from the bas</span><span lang="EN-US">e class</span><span> of adverbs, adjectives, and verbs.
