Sumario:There are many works describing various events excursions, gazanames and fetihnames until the term of Kanuni. The first works that describing the sultan are Selimnames of Yavuz Sultan Selim and the second works that describing the sultan are Süleymannames of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. This tradition did not continued for the sultan came after Kanuni. Şükri-i Bitlisi’s Selimname have prepared to Selimnames and Hâkî’s Süleymanname have prepared to Süleymannâmes the ground for spreading rapidly. There are many Suleymannames describing Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent and his period that written in verse and prose in Turkish literature. The poet, in mathnawi that report Nahcivan and Erivan excursion was close up to sultan and he was witness the all of events so he wrote his observations with alive images. The poet has given place to reduplications in 115 couplets in Suleymanname mathnawi that consisting 5275 couplets. Reduplication is alliterate of same words to increase the power of expression, reinforce the meaning and in order to enrich the concept or the words are used side by side close to each other or opposite meanings either the sounds of words resembling each other. It is seen that the beauty of sound, arising from the sense of power with used side by side in reduplications. The reduplications that listed in couplets are at the center of meaning and their associations, housing of voices strings harmony. Suleymannâme consisting of 5275 couplets. Mr. Hâkî also taking advantage of the reduplications in terms of both sound and meaning has enriched the expression. In this article the reduplications in the mathnawi have been studied in terms of their contribution.
