Our study shows that their expectations, which are historically constructed, are confronted with the reorientation of employment policies. From the point of view of the young graduates we met, the new mechanisms of occupational integration – through the private sector – make acceding to regular jobs more unlikely, and resorting to privileges and wasta (string pulling) necessary.
