Sumario: | Since the effect of the irregularity in height of medium and tall structures has a great influence on lateral behavior of structures and it also affects the design of the sections, in this study, various scenarios of sudden column removal in different locations of steel structures with and without geometric irregularities in height have been investigated. The Alternate load Path Method (APM), Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis (NDA), and OpenSees software were used to investigate 10, 15 and 20-story buildings with three types of irregularity in four different column removal scenarios. |
