Sumario:Analyzing studies about the cursive handwriting was seen mainly primary school teachers and elementary school students as the research determine their views on this article or focused on the cursive handwriting development and usage status of primary and secondary school students. Eliminate the use of cursive handwriting up the requirements in high school, the detection of this article usage status of students is important in terms of acceptance and adoption by the students reveal whether the cursive type. This research was carried out for this reason. With this research, primary and secondary schools in the program should be compulsory as students use cursive text, eliminating the necessity to use italic text in up the school year to identify this text usage situation and also to determine their views on writing with cursive font. To accomplish this goal, "Are students using cursive handwriting font in educational activities?" and " if students do not use italic text, what are the reasons?" Answers to the questions were sought. The research was tried with two different working groups. The first group of high school students attending the 9th and 10th grade and random books as selected from among 250 surveyed students; The second working group, which consisted of students who apply and interview form selected from 96 students. In the data collection and analysis process, document analysis, descriptive analysis and content analysis was conducted. It was stated that 2% of students had used the cursive font, 98% of the use of italic writing. The reasons for students to use to cursive writing are: problems during usage, negative approach to cursive text, expressed as the attitude of teachers and usefulness in daily life.
