One of these areas, of course, is education. However, for a training with technology integration, what the students who are the target mass of these applications is very important. For this reason, the aim of this study is to investigate the views of middle school students towards their attitudes towards technology and their use of animations as a technology application in science. The study was carried out with the participation of 113 6th 7th and 8th middle school studens at Tomarza Middle School during term of 2016-2017. The study is a descriptive research designed as a survey method. Datas were collected by Animation Opinion Scale (AOS) and Technology-Oriented Attitude Scale (TOAS). The reliability level of the AOS is 0,83 and the reliability level of the TOAS is 0,83 these levels are high for that research. Data were analysed through descriptive statistics like frequences and percent ratio. In addition, for the independent samples, t-tests, ANOVA, the Tukey test and correlational analysis were employed. The participants’ AOS and TAOS perception are positive and satisfactorily high. At the end of the study, it was found that there is not a significant difference gender, family income status and grade level of the students for studens’ views about using animation. But, for the student’ attitudes towards technology, it was found that there is a significant difference grade level of the students only. Besides, it is obtained that there is a medium and positive correlation between attidudes of the teachers’ towards technology and their level of using information technologies.Nagihan TANIK ÖNALDilara GÖLGELİ SÖNDÜRFırat UniversityarticlemSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 10, Iss 55, Pp 97-118 (2019)
