Micro-scale dissolution seams mobilise carbon in deep-sea limestones

Paleocene deep-sea limestones from New Zealand contain densely packed micro-scale dissolution seams which potentially released carbon into the ocean that was previously thought to be stored, according to high-resolution multimodal X-ray microscopy.
