The development and improvement of reproduction methods in the nineteenth century led to the rise of this type of images as well as their reproduction beyond their authors. In this context, the engraving studied is singular given that it was the result of a juxtaposition of sources whose study was conditioned by a nationalist logic. This article reveals the process of identifying the sources of which it is composed and the book to which it belongs, at the same time that a reflection is proposed on the theoretical-methodological transformations that made this identification possible.
