A striking aspect of this production is its interest in literature written by women and its pioneering approach to gender and sexual dissidence. In fact, the vindication and diffusion of marginal voices within the Argentine literary field –such as Sara Gallardo or Elvira Orpheé– or his anthology of homoerotic short stories Historia de un deseo (2000), can be read as critical gestures that place Brizuela into a feminist field.
