The period studied begins with the process of restoration of democracy, from 1983 to 2006. In order to analyze this phenomenon, we have studied the particularities of the evolution of the political theater in Argentina during the last decade (a period characterized by the introduction of neoliberal economic policies under the government of Menem, 1989-1999), also considering the political potentials of the theater in the current international socio-political context.
