Sumario: | The conflict between science and religion, traces back to Enlightenment, Renaissance and Reform times, has been played important role in becoming western societies secular is. The conflict on relation between the two field has been done in terms of religion has some contradict aspects, especially in doctrine, metaphysics and methodology, with science. Besides, this continual conflict among the intellectual and scientists has been spread out educational area and then whether religious education has some patterns conflicting science education or not, has been another debate. The basic question about the issue is that ‘Is religious education compatible with science education? As a way of reconciling science and religious education, the scientific religious education approach has been came to the fore. The scientific religious education approach proposed comprehending religion in phenomenological way and moral education excluded basic doctrines and metaphysics of religions. In the other hand, religious education approach in Turkey takes into consideration science and scientific thought, it scientifically evaluates religion in curriculum development, it includes moral education in religious education and it considers Islam supports science and scientific thoughts. In this context, it has been said that scientific religious education approach has some similarities to the religious education approach in Turkey, but from many points the two approaches are different in many high in rates. |
