Sumario:The War of Independence, which started as a result of the occupation of Anatolia by the Allied Powers after the First World War, resulted in victory and Anatolia was liberated from the enemy occupation. The newly established they started to work for the solution of the serious problems experienced in the field of health as well as the Republic of Turkey in every field. In this context, the laws required for the establishment of the health organization were enacted and implemented. In addition, studies were carried out to combat infectious diseases, to develop preventive health services and to train the needed health personnel. After joining the homeland in 1920, Iğdır faced many problems that need to be solved in the field of health as well as in every field. One of the most important problems in the field of health in Iğdır was the insufficiency of health institutions and health personnel. In addition, having infectious diseases in Iğdır and its surroundings was another problem. Malaria, one of the infectious diseases, was common in Iğdır and its surroundings. In this context, the policies and investments made for the solution of health problems in the country also showed their effects in Iğdır. With this study, the problems related to health and the solutions to these problems will be explained in Iğdır between 1923-1970.
