It analyzes the space relating to the theme of the right to the city as well as discusses the issue of ﬁnancialization exposing the lack of an urban policy capable of guaranteeing protection in the ﬁeld of social rights. In order to demonstrate the ﬁnancial logic, the implementation of the My House My Life Program and the counterpoint of urban occupations in the municipa- lity of Pelotas in the State of Rio Grande do Sul are presented. It carried out bibliographical research, documentary research and ﬁeld study.
