| Sumario: | The author examines the factors, conditioning the formation of the US national currency as the world reserve currency. The conditions for the dollar to dominate the world financial arena in modern conditions have been determined. The prospects for strengthening the positions of the euro, the Chinese yuan and the Russian ruble in the status of the world reserve currency, - have been evaluated.
