Sumario:This paper focuses on the study of shared use spaces between some local communities (mancomunales) through the written documentation of the 10th-12th centuries in the north of the Iberian Peninsula. The kind of land-use, the management mechanisms, the role of the lords and the conflict around these areas will be identified. The aim is to analyze how this type of resources made up an essential element in local «micro-politics» and were part of a complex network of social and economic relations that brought them closer to the concept of «moral economy».
