While the universe of the research is the students studying at the Department of Applied Arts Education of the Faculty of Vocational Education at Gazi University, its paradigm is composed of ten students in total, each five of which is 4th grade students studying at the Department of Graphics Education and the Department of at Ceramics Education in the 2010-2011 academic year. Literature on this field was reviewed to figure out the goals of curriculum, target behaviors, curriculum content, its implementation and evaluation. The instruments that consist of knowledge and process sheets were developed by the researcher using expert opinion and they were utilized to collect data regarding the implementation and evaluation of laser engraving method. Knowledge of the students was assessed with level identification test suitable for targeted behaviors while psychomotor behaviors were evaluated with product and process assessment scales. Before and after the implementation, affective behavior scale (attitude scale), was used. According to the results of the study, cognitive behaviors were evaluated, and the scores of the students at the last test ( ) 79.4 was higher than the scores at the test on resistance to forgetting ( ) 70 which was applied after eight weeks, and Wilcoxon signed rank test results presented a significant difference in favor of the last test. As for the scores in terms of psychomotor behaviors, arithmetic mean score of the students achieved at product assessment scale was ( ) 84.9 while arithmetic mean score was ( ) 77.3 at process assessment scale. Therefore, it was found out that participants achieved sufficient level of both cognitive and psychomotor behaviors. According to the results of affective behavior scale, it was observed that there had been a positive change in the attitudes of the students following the implementation. Consequently, it was recommended that it is convenient to implement the laser engraving method in the fields of graphics and ceramics.Betül AYTEPEAyten ULUSOYAtilla İLKYAZFırat Universityarticlecurriculum on laser engraving methodgraphicsceramicsSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 7, Iss 30, Pp 125-145 (2019)
