Sumario: | Crowdfunding has become one of the important financing tools for the projects of the entrepreneurs, NGOs, art projects,social responsibility projects and especially for films. Crowdfunding will reach 20 billion USD in 2015 and in Turkey it started to become a finance alternative for the film makers. In 2014 Turkey celebrated its 100th anniversary and Nuri Bilge Ceylan received the most important award from Cannes Film Festival. Directors as Semih Kaplanoğlu, Derviş Zaim,Yeşim Ustaoğlu,Özcan Alper,Kutluğ Ataman and many others get awards at international film festivals. 150-200 films are being produced every year and the crowdfunding platforms as Crowdfon,Fonlabeni,Kickstarter,Indiego,Bi Ayda and Fongogo support financing of film makers’ projects. According to April 2015 figures 248.487 TL fund has been raised at Fongogo crowdfunding platform and 1136 investors have supported the projects.
