Sumario:From the historical point of view of the history of sensibilities and referring also to the unusual perspective of the ”historical fact reception”, this essay aims to review the controversial theme of an historical myth actually centered on the historical figure of Bolivar. Remote past as more recent history, including immediate history, are turned into analytical objects. The analysis shifts about forgotten historical themes, such as affects and emotions, or the political management of feelings : for this purpose it retrieves “memorial traces” which have especial meaning in the long term for the cultural history of a nation. So, the Venezuelan example makes it possible to survey mechanisms of construction of an official history in a very mediatized context, even from an international point of view.
