Sumario:The Open Educational Resources (OER) movement has been growing rapidly since 2001, which is facilitated by the financial resources of various charitable foundations, as well as the free provision of educational content to institutions and students around the world. Individuals and organizations are motivated by various factors to create OER, both altruistic and self-serving. This article discusses various ways of organizing OER initiatives and the range of opportunities for compiling OER.
