In general, these clusters are made up of a set of economic agents, social and political territory, which interact in joint actions aimed at competitiveness gains, resulting in direct relation to the social capital. In this sense, the article aimed to analyze elements of social capital of a cluster of viticulture area, including social relationships and interaction of its agents. Regarding the methodological aspects, the research used the case study method in Cluster of Altitude Wines in Santa Catarina, with the data collect of primary sources from interviews with all of agents of this productive arrangement. The data were tabulated with statistical methods and SNA, enabling a quantitative and qualitative approach. As a summary of the main results is emphasized that this cluster of wine industry has a good level of trust, engagement and commitment among agents. However, the network had less social interaction, as well as reveal a centralizing role of local governance and a small group of agents. The ARS method proved these notes, with the density and network reciprocity getting around a third of possibilities for this network.Marcos Junior MariniGustavo Cristiano SampaioGilson Ditzel SantosUniversidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sularticleclusterviticulturesocial capitalcooperationEconomic growth, development, planningHD72-88PTDesenvolvimento em Questão, Vol 16, Iss 44 (2018)
