Sumario:The young Paraguayan Ramiro Gómez’s documentary Tierra roja (Red earth - 2006) sprung in the first place from an order commissioned by the ONG Helvetas Paraguay, which finally ended up in a film shot to relate the encounter of four families, two peasant and two native ones, living in the Paraguayan rural environment. The film suggests problems which are burning issues in order to make people aware of them. Some of these are also found in Marco Bechis’s fiction feature film La terre des homes rouges (The land of the red men - 2008), which is sometimes referred to in this work.
