Sumario: | This paper analyzes the importance attributed by students of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina to the extracurricular activities in order to reach their professional goals. The general objective was configured as: identify how the students evaluate the importance of extracurricular activities to achieve their professional goals. The specific objectives were: a) identify the extracurricular activities that students consider important for achieving career goals; b) identify the career aspirations of ingress and egress students; c) identify if the ingress and egress students plan their careers; d) explore how the educational institution has been contributing to it by offering extracurricular activities; e) identify which activities are more relevant to help students in the pursuit of professional achievement. This research was classified as descriptive and qualitative, and the method used was literature review and research. The data collection instrument used was printed and online questionnaires. The final findings of this article points to a lack of guidance on choosing the extracurricular activities that could contribute to the achievement of the students’ goals, among others conclusions which are presented at the final section of this article. |
